Since his childhood he is very much fond of movies, but most of his childhood was at Jaipur, Bhopal, Delhi and Mumbai. But finally he and his family settled in Vijayawada where he completed his graduation in Siddhartha Degree College. Time has come to prove his acting skills for the first time in his career in the year 1999 in the movie NEEKOSAM directed by Srinu Vaitla who is also new to film industry at that time. It was a good hit but boxoffice collections were very poor.
By gods grace and his efforts he got an opportunity to work under Puri Jagannadh in the movie Itlu Sravani Subrahmanyam which was the first success for him, later on he never looked back as immediately nether movie started under the same director which became a blockbuster in the year 2001 and the movie was IDIOT.
He never had head weight or fan following or support from Big shots of tollywood but still he survived in the critical situations. He got continuous hits after much needed break Idiot given by Puri.

That’s the difference b/w making of New Mega Star or Superstar. Star image never comes in one day, if it comes then one has realize that it will go in one day too.

After a long wait he got the biggest success till date with some mind blowing action sequences and the movie was directed by Rajamouli one of the best director tollywood produced. Vikramarkudu was a complete mass entertainer and took him into new heights. Later he got his biggest career dud with Khatarnak which released on chirstmas time in the year 2006.
In the year 2007 he is back with bang again with Srinu Vaitla’s Dubai Seenu which was declared the best entertainer of the year. Later, another blockbuster with Krishna. It was a super hit directed by V. V. Vinayak.
He was very busy in doing three films every year and that made him struggled at some point times as he got some continuous flops with movie like
Baladur which was flopped and ended up with biggest loss

This was the time when he got continuous flops in a row with Baladur and Nenithe. But in the year 2009 he was at his best in the movie Kick which was directed by Surender Reddy, the biggest hits of 2009 and second best after Magadheera. After kick every other hero turned their faces towards Raviteja. Almost all top directors wanted to do a film with Raviteja. Later that summer, he delivered Anjaneyulu, which was an average at boxoffice.

Sambo Shiva Shambo was declared as flop which was an multi-starrer with Allari Naresh and Siva Balaji.
One movie released and it was Don Seenu under the direction of Gopichand Malineni which was initially declared as flop saying Action and comedy scenes resembles his previous films and it looked routine like Krishna, Kick, Duabi seenu. But after three days it was declared as super hit and got the biggest openings in Raviteja’s career till date.
We don’t want to compare other heros with him, as he was born to a Pharmacist called Bh. Rajagopala Raju who had no references in tollywood. But he was successful because he was sincere at work, dedicated to film schedules and timmings. Respect towards directors, producers and co-stars. His energy and sense of humour made him King of Tollywood now.
Raviteja’s latest film is Mirapakai, a comedy Veedu Chala Hot Guru, was released on 13th January 2011 and unanimously declared as blockbuster of Sankranthi .
After his continuous success at box-office by delivering biggest hits when other heros are not at all performing to his levels, every cinegoer was thinking that who is the future Megastar or Superstar of tollywood.
Megastar means: who can deliver biggest blockbusters continuously in every year with highest collections at boxoffice.
Superstar means: Who can pull the crowd with his mesmerizing acting skills and screen presence. Who can convert an average movie into super hit movie.
