Recently released DAM 999 movie got some rare appreciations from all over the world for its visual effects and background score music. Now the highest award came down to take it as a nominee in the original song category for the upcoming 84th academy awards.

The nominations will be taken into consideration once the academy will screen clips featuring each song for member voting in Los Angeles. After they got the clear picture on voting a maximum of two songs will be nominated from any one film. Next year January 24th 2012 will be the 84th Academy award function, where the winners will be announced.
Last date of voting will be Jan 5th 2012.
Three songs from indian film Dam 999 were shortlisted for nominations and out of them…

2. Dakkanaga Dugu Dugu
3. Mujhe Chhod Ke
are expecting a place in the final nomination list. Out of three only two songs will get a place in the final list. Dam 999 is competing with 39 other shortlisted songs from different countries.
We have to wait till Jan 5th to know about the final nominations.
