Prakash Raj’s second directorial venture “Dhoni” has finally hit the screens today and the the movie has raised some expectations from the trailer. Prakash Raj and Aakash are playing the lead roles in this movie. Let’s go into the detailed review on this movie.

Even though he make calculation for everything in house, he never compromises in the matter of his children studies. He wants to see his son as a big bussiness magnet and he wants to make his MBA, but Karthik who is dull in studies is much interested in Cricket and is a very good player himself. But Subramanyam doesn’t understand his feeling ans tries to force him to study hard, but Karthik fails. In one of those moments Subramanyam accidentally man handles Karthik which leads him to go into Coma. Then Subramanyam realizes his mistakes and also the poor education system which is putting pressure on kids these days. The rest of the story forms how did fought against this poor education system.
As an actor Prakash Raj has excelled in the role and he has proved himself once again. His acting in some scenes are so natural and has doe a brillaint job in every scene as a middle class father. Once can see himself in that character. Aakash has done a good job in his character. He has given a good performance and he surely does have future if he concentrates more. Radhika Apte as given good performance within her character. Rest of the team is ok.
As a director Prakash has tried very much to bring the best emotions but has failed in the second half of the movie and in climax scenes. His performance is best but has not been upto to the mark in the direction part. The first half of the movie is good with some humor and light hearted scenes. The movie goes into the drama and serious in the second half, where he needs to show more, but kinda slacked off at some scenes which are crucial for the movie. He got a very good point and message in the movie but he kinda failed to express it correctly with the direction part.
