Google has launched its online music service in India that enable users to search for legal music streams and downloads.
In support of its Indian music search service http://www.google.co.in music Google has united with In.com, Saregama and Saavn. The three digital music providers, embrace rights to hundreds of thousands of Indian tracks – ranging from old and new Bollywood hits to Indian classical music. The music search service currently index only Hindi songs.
Users can search for a picky song, an album or even for artists. On clicking the search results the songs play on a new pop-up window.
Search Engine giant Google had first launched a music search feature in October 2009 for which they had partnered with MySpace, Pandora and Rhapshody amongst other music providers. Music related search ranks high on the most used search keywords on Google.
The Google India music search is still a part of Google Labs, where Google study and demonstrates new products before amalgamate them as a standard feature on its search engine services.
Already there are few competitors who are already having huge market in Music Category.
