Touch and Tell

The front panel has a resistive touchscreen with a video calling camera at the top and 3 hardware buttons at the bottom for calling, call end on both sides and the back key in the middle.

The microSD card slot, volume rocker, USB/charging slot, power key and the 3.5mm jack are placed all around on the phone’s spines and the camera has been placed at the back.

The phone is sleek with a thickness of 11.9mm but does give a plasticky feel.

It has cartoon UI and two homescreen panels, one is dedicated for contacts i.e. we can add contacts to the homescreen and the second is for shortcuts. We can just swipe the finger left or right to access these screens.

On each screen there is an arrow at the bottom that allows us to customise the homescreen.

All we need to do is pull the arrow up and then we can add contacts or applications from the tray.

At the bottom there are 4 default touch buttons for dialer, contacts, messages and menu.

App It Up

The LG T325 is a 3G phone that can give HSDPA speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. We can connect the phone using WiFi.

There is a default browser along with Opera Mini 5, which comes with its enhanced functionalities.

For social networking we get pre-loaded apps for Facebook, Twitter and MySpace and links to Orkut, Picasa and Flickr.

The Facebook application allows us to post status messages and upload pictures using the camera or through the albums.

Instant Messaging is offered by pre-loaded messenger app. Another application called the ZapBox allows us to download content on  the T325.

The E-Comix application is a repository of comics from which we can download and read famous comics from Amar Chitra Katha, Penguin Books etc.

The phone supports push mail and is capable of handling POP and IMAP clients.

The text input options include a virtual QWERTY keypad and a keyboard along with handwriting recognition.
